Levi Steele is CMS’s 7th grade Spartan of the Week for the week of April 24, 2023.  Levi is the son of Charly Ann Kennedy and Tim Steele.  Ms. Kate Swininger, Race Car English teacher, nominated him.  Ms. Swininger praised, “Levi is a very polite student who is kind to others. He helps to keep the room picked up and takes good care of Bonnie, our support dog.”  Levi was a member of the Dodgeball activity day club.  And outside of school he is a member of a recreational soccer team.  In his free time, he likes to play soccer and video games, and play with his dog.  His favorite classes are English and science.  After high school, Levi would like to work for his father’s tree cutting company.  When asked what he liked best about being a student at Connersville Middle School, Levi said, “I like that we get to move around more than in elementary school.” 

Teagan Baldwin is CMS’s 8th grade Spartan of the Week for the week of April 24, 2023.  Teagan is the daughter of Tamela and James Sizemore and Mathew Baldwin.  Mrs. Ann Alcorn, Media Center Facilitator, nominated her.  Mrs. Alcorn praised, “Teagan is a great worker in the Media Center.  She handles everything and everyone with respect and grace.  She’s always on time and prepared.  Teagan is a wonderful example of what a CMS student should be.”  In addition to being a Media Center Aide, she is a member of the CMS Choir and the 4-H club.  Teagan was an Honor Roll student last year in 7th grade,continues to be Honor Roll this year, and is a member of the CMS Honor Society.  She also volunteered on the Polar Express train this past winter.  In her free time, Teagan likes to draw and listen to music.  Her favorite classes are social studies and choir.  After high school, she plans to eventually own her own bakery/cafe.  Teagan’s advice for 7th graders is that “the teachers aren’t as scary as you were told.”  When asked what she liked best about CMS, Teagan stated, “What I like is all of the memories I’ve made and being friends with people I might not have met if it wasn’t for middle school.”
